Republic Square is reopening soon! Finishing touches are being made on the newly renovated Republic Square to prepare for its reopening. Once the construction fences are removed, the square will be open for the community to visit and enjoy.
Last week, a new temporary public restroom was installed in downtown Austin as part of a pilot program which will test the need for a more permanent solution. The facility is intended to benefit downtown visitors, runners, bikers, homeless individuals, and late-night crowds.
