If you love western boots and leather flip-flops, you need to check out Austin’s new brand, Rickshaw Boots and Flops on 3rd and Congress. The brand launched during SXSW and sells directly to consumers out of a vintage Airstream trailer. The low overhead model gives Austinites the opportunity to purchase their favorite footwear at an affordable price.

Its name represents an actual Rickshaw (resembling a pedi-cab) that sells flip-flops out of its trunk and shines shoes in the cab.  If you own a pair of Rickshaw Boots, you can stop by the Airstream every Sunday to get a free boot shine!

The brand has also created an initiative to give back locally, called "Buy a Pair, Grow a Pear." A percentage of all Rickshaw sales goes to growing and distributing organic fruits and vegetables, while educating local food shelters and families throughout Austin on the importance of a nutritious diet. This is just one factor that makes Rickshaw a great new Austin-inspired brand.

Rickshaw is open Tuesday – Sunday and is located on 3rd and Congress, caddy corner to the J.W. Marriott.
