It's no secret that downtown development is booming. In the past two decades, downtown has become a growing residential neighborhood with expanding amenities and services for residents. Shonda Novak of the Austin American-Statesman spoke with Jenell Moffett our research director for her recent article, "A Building Boom that Won't Stop." Discussing the increase of downtown residents, Jenell said "downtown is on pace to add about 1,000 residents each year. Since 2010, its population has increased by 85 percent, compared with 20 percent for the city as a whole." Read more about downtown's residential growth, statistics, and emerging projects.
