The Holiday Sing-Along & Downtown Stroll attracts more than 20,000 attendees each year, so we encourage you to bike or use public transportation. However, if you do need to drive, there are plenty of parking options too. Bus and bike, park and ride, take the rail or all of the above.
Capital Metro’s bus routes connect downtown to all parts of Austin. You can go multimodal by bringing your bike on board or riding a MetroBus to a MetroRail station and taking the Red Line into downtown. Single rides start at $1.25 and daily, weekly and monthly unlimited ride passes are available. Buy tickets, see schedules and maps and plan your trip at Capital Metro’s website. You can also buy passes at most area grocery stores.
Park & Ride
If your nearest bus stop isn’t within walking distance, drive to one of Capital Metro’s many Park and Ride lots throughout the Austin metro area. Service from most locations is frequent during rush hour and is non-stop or has limited stops. Find a Park & Ride near you here (select Transit Hubs on the menu to the left of the map).
MetroRail Red Line
Capital Metro’s MetroRail Red Line is a 26-mile line offering comfortable and reliable service to downtown Austin. The Downtown Station is conveniently located outside the Austin Convention Center on 4th St. between Neches & Tritiny. For a full map, schedule and tickets, visit Capital Metro’s website.
If you do plan to drive, downtown has more than 43,000 parking spaces. On-street metered parking and garage parking are available.
