The Capital of the Lone Star State is a rich treasure trove of history located right in the heart of the "Heart of Texas." There are three National Register Historic Districts in Downtown Austin: Congress Avenue, East Sixth Street and the Bremond District. Downtown is also home to almost 20 museums and more than 50 galleries.
