To highlight the works of one of the most impactful African-American female leaders in our history, the Barbara Jordan Freedom Foundation will display an interactive exhibit of Barbara Jordan’s life at the Texas Capitol. The exhibit will stand on the ground floor of the Texas Capitol Rotunda North Central Gallery. As always, the exhibit is free and open to the public.

In addition to Black History Month, February also features Barbara Jordan Freedom Week, as designated by the 82nd Texas Legislature. What better way to celebrate her life than revisiting her most significant achievements in history? The Barbara Jordan Freedom Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded to continue Barbara Jordan’s fight against injustice, with funding from the Tocker Family Foundation.
