A new temporary, interactive public art piece by local artist Jennifer Chenoweth called XYZ Atlas: Congress Avenue is now at the corner of Congress and Cesar Chavez. Commissioned the by the Downtown Austin Alliance, XYZ Atlas is an interactive and collaborative public art initiative that reveals how we are connected to one another and our surroundings.

Downtown residents, employees, and visitors will enjoy visiting the Vertex, the 3D representation of the project, and then will be directed to visit a website to answer questions about their memorable experiences on Congress Avenue, a vibrant street rich in history. XYZ Atlas’s goal is to show the emotions people feel at different geographical parts of Austin by reframing the idea of place not as land, streets, or buildings, but as places connected to emotion and meaningful moments in people’s lives

VISIT XYZ Atlas: Congress Avenue at the Corner of Cesar Chavez & Congress.
CONTRIBUTE to a public art project that creates a visual representation of your experiences on Congress.

This is a Heart of the Community project, in partnership with Project for Public Spaces, and is supported by a grant from Southwest Airlines.
