Welcome to Wooldridge Grand Reopening

After a year of work by the Parks and Recreation Department to improve the lawn, trees, and historic bandstand, Wooldridge Square is ready to make her debut. Join us on September 13 & 14, 2013 as the Downtown Austin Alliance and partners present the reopening celebration of Wooldridge Square with a weekend of fun including family activities, live music, food vendors, and a special performance by Dale Watson on Friday and the Austin Symphony Big Band on Saturday.

Getting Here

Located at 900 Guadalupe in the northwest corner of downtown Austin, Wooldridge Square is easily accessible no matter how you choose to arrive.
 

  • Cars & Parking: On-street parking options are available throughout the area, and there are several garages in the vicinity. Travis County is offering free parking for the reopening events on Saturday, September 14th at their parking lot at the corner of Guadalupe and 10th directly east of the park, and at their parking lot at the corner of 10th and Lavaca next to the Constable Pct 5 building and University Savings Building.

  • Transit: Wooldridge Square is conveniently accessible via Capital Metro services. To find the route that best serves you, use Cap Metro's Trip Planner. Enter your address as the starting point, and 900 Guadalupe St as the End Point. You can reach Cap Metro's GO Line at (512)474-1200.
     
  • Bicycles: If pedal-power is your vehicle of choice, we have you covered. Remember to bring your lock and use one of the racks near the park or library.
